Black Sands

Black Sands manipulates a number of film and  audio recordings collected in Iceland, exploring how imagination and memory influence our internal rendering of sound, particularly moments of significance.

The piece was made for a concert of field recording works presented by New Adventures in Sound Art, Warblers Roost, Ontario, Canada, 2016 and aims to investigate the combined resonance of how imagined, actual and remembered sound shapes our experiences.
